Can someone please make some 85 fairing protectors out of Black Delrin.
Almost $35 each shipped if you can find them is more than I will pay  :flag_of_truce:
I would rather buy a Bridgeport mill and make some than spend $140-$150 for 4 of them shipped.
I have no where to put a Bridgeport or i might.

CNC would spit them out like popcorn if they were $10 a piece I would buy 16 or more.

IF you have a good set to model from.......
You could make some easily with a $500 3D printer.
The one's I've seen use either polypropalene or ABS for the material.

Someone must want to start a business making some of these UNobtainable parts.

And, if you're worried about copyright, I'd proffer that no one has complained
about the "race replica" fairing producers that I've heard of.

Note: if you wanted a 3D printer big enough to make the late model side airscoops, it would cost a bit more.

It just so happens that I have a Bridgeport mill in my shop.  Hmmm...

Bridget and I have become good friends this past 6 months.  What design do you have in mind?  Most frame sliders I've seen are lathe turned, not milled.  If its a good design, I'll make some for both of us if you provide materials - I also have an 85.

Have considered carving the protectors out of soft wood sealing the grain wit shellac sanding ultra smooth and painting black.

I think several folks here are talking about different things, frames sliders vs the plastic screw covers on the air scoops (fairing protectors)

This (the fairing protector) was made as a stop gap from a piece of aluminium strap with self adhesive black rubber tape to give it some height and painted it satin black. I didn't even spend the time making it a good fit but still no one ever noticed, in fact, I stopped seeing it after a few days.

I fastened it, as I did with the replacements given how much they cost, with velcro dots (in addition to the lugs). Never lost one since.
