Fj1100 seat and tail swap

Anyone have any experience with swapping the seat and rear section out on a fj1100? I currently have a 84fj1100 and was toying with the idea of making it look more modern by going with a r6/r1 tail and seat. Now I know I would have to get the subframe from whatever I want to swap to and weld brackets onto the fj frame to attach it, but has anyone done this? Would love some advice before I start buying parts. My heart is not set on a r6/r1 I really just want to get rid of the double seat and have 2 seats instead .. Any ideas or advice is appreciated
