So True most accidents are close to home.

Craig Gillies from Boonah QLD has Lost his life on Thursday following a dirt bike crash with a motor vehicle, close to Home.

He wasn`t into computors but was at our first Manshed day with Horse, back in 2013. (has an ambulance FJ that he loved)

Funeral date to be confirmed but probably this week.

Craig was a trials champion in the 70`s and a long time mate of Horse since early school days.

Ahhh  bugger  :shok:   Sorry for the loss of your mate Mark.

Not nice. I was looking back through the photos from the Manshed day at your place in 2013 General and I couldn't see Craig in the pics? I can't place him.

I do remember Craig from that Man Shed Day.

He helped me do my first fork oil change. Knowledge that I have now past on to other FJ owners.

He was a good bloke. As is typical with all FJ owners I have had the pleasure to meet.

RIP Mate  :drinks:

That is some pretty sad news, and sage advice for other riders.  Sorry to hear.

G'day Horse, I'm beginning to look for another one now. I understand the sentiment to keep them in the FJ family. PM me when the family is ready, or decided what they want to do.
Cheers,

Wow, now that is a collection!
A mate of mine lives nearby you & has some varied (eclectic) bike tastes. Everything from Ural to Ducati. I'll let him know as well when they come up. Although not an FJ fool like me, he took my Effie out for a run recently and I could see the cogs turning there. He's probably looking for some 80s rice burning muscle right now.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Katana in that condition.
I do remember being pretty impressed with those Pasos when they first came out, but can't remember seeing one in those colours.
This collection, and given it is only part of the collection, is eye candy.
Horse, are the family keeping some of it?
Seems a shame they are to move it all on. I hope there are some family members that have dibs or similar to keep the legacy alive.

Sadly no, Craig dose have a nephew he was teaching to ride, (he has gotten quite good too) I will be acquiring several bikes I hope, and will place his name on the tanks & try to ride them as much as I can  :good2: , I suppose a few other friends will do as much. It has been so hard for me to put these bikes in one place knowing that they will be split up & devided / sold off  :dash2: but I'm sure the cash will go into a trust acc. for the boy  His sister is leaving  all the cleaning & work to get some of them going again, to another friend & myself, which is going to take some time(a long time) :wacko3: but it is something I love to do  :i_am_so_happy: & suppose I need to do it for him & his family. I'm building a sandstone memorial to place at the accident  site & should have it ready in a couple of weeks ..... Now I just need the time to get the FJ fixed & rego before the moto GP &&&&&&&&& I'll get eventually, all good    :drinks:  :drinks:   :drinks:   :bye2:     PS. check out this thing of beauty, it's a pre 1965 CZ 150 trials bike, Craig won the Oz championships with  COOL  A....
