Winter ride in Scotland

I went for a run this afternoon to the Scottish Highlands and post some pictures. The last month has been very cold with lots of snow. This is melting and the temperature was up to about 5C. Did about 170 miles.

Frank,

No, just heated grips and lots of layers. The only bit that got cold was my feet because I got wet tramping through a melting bog to get to the loch in the middle picture.

This is a much photographed place because it is easy to get to (apart from crossing the bog). It is called Lochan na h-Achlaise. I don't know how to pronounce that – like most Gaelic names it will probably sound like someone choking on a fish bone. Lots of photos here:
