Just rode it home. 1991 bought from the original owner with just over 26k on it. Other than getting high-sided early on and cracking the right scoop when (he says) the wind caught it coming off a trailer, the bike is in great shape. It was always garage kept and got synthetic oil changes, and also has 2 brand new Metzlers on it. Also came with a strap on tank bag and the OE windshield.

Great looking fix for the shifter disaster.  :good2:

What are your plans for the 1100..... Heli-arc weld the case, find a good 1100/1200 motor as a replacement, or sell the whole thing??

Fred

Thanks Fred, I think it's a great looking fix too lol.

I will put the 1100 on CL this weekend as-is for a reasonable price and hope for a taker. If that doesn't work, Scott and I might combine his 84 and mine into one and sell it then split the money.

I fixed a "wife" problem using this exact same technique!

(sorry, it was there and no one else was taking it)

FJ_Hooligan,

So, how much did you get for Wife1.0 on Craig's List?

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.

93 models hold their price but you actually get less with the rear conversion. .....ouch! (be mindful of swinging arm on all models!)  :blum1:
