This has got to be one of the best mods for these stock bikes...  really makes the low end much more "bright" somehow.

Did the mod, then ran up to Mt Hamilton.  They're slowly getting the whole road smoothed out, so it is getting more fun.  Still bumpy though, but really helped me sort suspension again with a bit more preload and max damping.  Ride is much better and the bike did a great job running up the hill and back.

I think them aluminum tubes are OEM for the '84.... Good looking cans...

FYI...Frank has a great view from anywhere he rides...
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Ah yes, I should have known that on the pipes. Anytime I ride the view is better.
