Yeah, I caught that.  I didn't post on the subject over there...since there is nothing I can say to help...and I don't really know him.  What others posted hit the nail on the head already.  Very tragic...I read his whole post to my wife last night and we both teared up.  My thoughts and prayers are with him.

i knoiw Kav very well.... he lives right down the road from me in Salsibury NC... we have ridden together many times in the past and he is a straight up good guy...... i didnt meet this girl since i didnt attend the fall rally last year but i can still sympathise with the shock of her taking her own life.

peace on ya Kavin,

kavin is the greatest guy in the world.  we met at an fj rally looong ago, he attended a few, then disappeared.  he never had an fj at our fj rallies, the first rallies he had a vfr1000 and he absolutely rode it like nobody's business.  whenever i think of kavin and fj rallies i just smile, he's a soft-spoken, funny, easy-going guy.  i was really, really happy to see him reappear at our last few rallies.  his girlfriend, barbie, fit right in with us and was a real sweet girl.  i was reading one of those funny surveys online on facebook of his, and one of his answers made my heart absolutely stop, and i pinged him about it.  my heart aches for him about this, he is a really super guy.  i hope he makes it to the spring rally.

I met him last year, briefly, and he seemed to be a perfect fit in this group. I couldn't believe that post...how fucking devastating. And the courage it takes to share that with a bunch of screw-ups like us, and the outpouring of support...that's what makes this group the little community that it is.

I've made what I hope will be rest-of-my-life-long friends here, and I'm a pretty solitary guy. I suck at the supportive stuff (ask my ex-wife...), but goddamnit, we got a brother in pain here. I replied on the Yahoo! list.

Y'all make me proud to be a part of this. Nothin' phony or half-assed about the supportive posts back to Kavin...I know you guys, and I know it's all heartfelt and not just Internet rhetoric. Goodonya. Hell, good on *us*.

Kav, if you need anything...and I mean *anything*...speak up. We're here.
