I have no affiliation in this sale but came across an 88 FZR front cheap. I know that I should score it but I have the bike set up just the way I want it. So here's an opportunity for someone else.

Interesting, and thanks for posting.

Just a little bit-o-damage on that edge, eh? Not certain about the fix. JBWeld? Bubblegum?

Looks like a good TIG welder could sort out the rim skuffs. If I knew one I would get the wheel, fix it and resell it. Maybe keep it for a future FJ upgrade.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Cheep for me, the welders I know work for beer.... And I make beer.... I just don't know any with TIG equipment/skills... :ireful:

I would pass on this rim.

TIG welding, then turning the rim to level the weld, then balancing....too much work.

Yeah, looks like the tire guy was a bit ham fisted changing tires at some time in that wheel's life. Doesn't look that bad really and the rotors are worth the price of admission.

Just my opinion and does not reflect the opinion of management.

From what I recall , the rotors will not fit on the FJ ... they are 320mm with different spacing.

I have more info on an attempt to use them on an FJ if anyone is interested. :mail1:

I can second that. My FZR750R wheel came with the rotors, 320mm. The Arashi wave rotors are 300mm and fit well, much more than that and they will make contact with the calipers.

I have a set of the same 320MM rotors from an FZR1000 wheel if anyone wants to try them. In truth, the damage to the wheel makes me question if it still true. It may need more work as Pat pointed out than just some welding. I sold a wheel with similar damage, but I was able to verify that it was not bent and the damage did not affect the bead. So some metal putty like Lab-Metaland some paint is all it needed.
