What oil filter (spin on adapter) you running now?

Just curious to what oil filter people with the spin on oil filter adapter are running. My Autozone no longer carries the old Puralator filter. I've seen Frank's posts on the Yahoo group about the Purolator PL10193. I'd like to gain back some extra oil capacity of the Purolator, as I've used a Bosch the last 2 oil changes. Does anyone know if the new part is as large, capacity wise?

nohing wrong with the new and improved purolator "pure one"  PL10193 other than the fact it is no longer that nice blue...... its brown mustard yellow with a textured surface

i've just been spray painting mine black before installing.

still the same great filter available at any autozone

Thanks Frank. I was looking at pictures from both Spring and Summer rallies and noticed your filter was black. I was going to buy the PL10193, but like you stated, it's a brownish yellow. I thought WTF?  That's why I posted. Boone is soon.

Tim. I am using an Amsoil filter.(upon Ed's recommendation) I believe it is an EAO20. It comes in a nice shiny black so it blends well. Looks stock. I am not sure as to the capacity though, as it is the only filter I have use since putting on the spin-on adapter last spring. Is a little pricier though, but what the hey...its an FJ.

Thanks Jake!.  The Amsoil filter is the only one with the correct thread size/pitch, so there's no options here.  Since the Amsoil filters are interchangeable with all other manufacturers, I'd guess WYSIWYG.

I'm using an AC-Delco PF1222.  Not too big and, most important, blue!  A "not too bad" match with the blue of the 92 model.

I'm going with the Purolator PL10193 as it increases capacity by 1/2 quart (I believe). It's nice to have a little extra oil when searching for Kookaloo!!!!!! Right Frank?

I just installed the spin-on adapter from Randy and the Wix filter (anti drain back), painted with black (comes in White) wrinkle finish (for good grip). The filter is a little long. I like to think that it is not only a case saver but it also a small Left-side oil cooler.

thats the reason i like the short filters.... most oil filters are not made heavy duty ..... one small low speed incident or tipover could put all your oil on the ground and you to walkin'.
