Now that the New Year is upon us it is time to do those repairs and modifications we have all been slacking on.
This is my list , What is Yours?

1. Rebuild transmission , I may even take pictures and do a write up. :mail1:
2. Change fork seals
3. Rebuild carbs
4. Repaint engine
5. Polish up forks
6. normal spring Maint . Change fluids , inspect connections , lubricate all brgs, chain ,ect.

Really like that empty Corona box with the flower in it.

You sure know how to work the feng shui! A hidden talent of yours?

Hats off to you Mark !  :hi:  That's a big undertaking especially when the weather is nice enough to ride but a 30 day delay for a major fix isn't a bad price to pay.  I know you will have a big smile on your face when she is fixed. I am assuming it is a "she" as they get have the ability to cost you money and get out of control once in a while..   Good time for a deep cleaning, lube and frame inspection.  Good for another 30 years  :good2:.

Keep the pictures coming Mark.

A bit daring are we?

Not to worry guys , that rug has been the fj parking spot for years ... It had become stained from wine and was set for disposal when I commandeered it for the landing strip . It is quite comfortable to sit on when working on the fj instead of hard concrete .

The carpet pissers beware.

Finally stole some time and drove to RPM and dropped off my engine for the trans fix.

Robert is looking good from his little bucking bronco FJ mishap.

As you can see Robert is in high spirits and working the broken shoulder blade . :good:

Major bump.....on my engine r and r ..

Ok , so when is the west coast rally again?

after some wrenching

Well I picked up the engine from RPM and had to wait for my granddaughter to be born before I could work on it.
Then work got busy , then something else happened ...and so on..
So after all my procrastination I finally got down to it and finished up the engine , rebuilt the cabs, bleed the brakes and clutch, replaced front tire, and even managed to do some painting of the frame rails.

Went for a test thrash and made adjustments as needed ,, So I am now officially  Rally Ready

Fj prayer rug  :rofl2: :rofl2: ya got me rolling with that one George.

I am actually ready early this year ,, most years I am doing something on memorial day to the FJ and breaking the 2 week rally prep rule.

I can probably come up with something  to do on it tomorrow... :scratch_one-s_head:

The new trans is most excellent ..Along with the shift roller kit ...I can finally wind out 2nd gear again  :yahoo:

very positive shifts , well worth the money spent.
