Went for a ride with the Gopro trying different mounting positions. Here's the result complete with cheesy music.

Hey Tony,  have to say i like the up high straight ahead looking shot the best, also with the camera pointing at you it shows how much your leaning over .

As far as aimed at the speedo goes I wouldnt use that ,   ken

PS, Sunday morning, time for a ride in sunny old brisbane, our roads should be  washed and dry for awhile today between drinks.

Excellent Tony, when edited into the video like that I wouldn't say any one spot was better than the other. Far more entertaining than the usual 15 min vid with the camera in one spot. Mixing it up certainly makes it more entertaining viewing, even the selfies work if you're a good looking bloke like us.

You guys need to toughen up, what's with the heated grips in QL?

Is that the Glasshouse Mountains in the background?

That is by any youtube standard a great vid and excellent editing, spoilt only by the cheap looking top box.

I think they all have something to offer but I do like the looking up at the riders head ( like moto gp ) and the low front suspension shot. Would be great to have 3 or 4  cameras mounted. Not too sure about your choice of music  :music:
Ken, saw you on friday at Boondall. I was driving a bus and u were at Beams Rd lights

ken65

Hey Stua, was the lights at sandgate rd? its a bit fuzzy , it wasnt a midsize white bus was it.

i was on my way home from watching the planes at the air port.

I like the variety of different views that you edited in there..............................Except on the selfie one, I wanted to reach through the screen and grab the little snake-like cord that was streaming in front of you..........

Great video.........................One of these days I'll be able to afford a Go-Pro  :unknown:

Cheap looking top box!!!, Mmmm.... Actually, it was pretty cheap, seem to recall someone else on here with one exactly the same

Most of the footage was shot around Moogerah Dam Noel, at the foot of The Great Dividing Range.

Winter in Queensland can get cold, We even get a frost sometimes.

The music is shit Stu, but I used the free online stuff so I don't get in trouble with the copyright nazis.

Firehawk, that thing flapping in front of my face is a shoelace I used to secure the gopro in case it fell off. It was bloody annoying I know.

I didn't think you'd like the speedo shot Ken, cause now you know how fast my bike is and feel intimidated.

Yes Ken, Beams and Sandgate. I was crossing in the other direction in a Brisbane Transport bus

Here is a link to some different Go-Pro tethers or leashes: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=gopro+tethers&tag=mh0b-20&index=aps&hvadid=1845590560&ref=pd_sl_5z146lcf85_e

I shot a riding video a while back & kept reaching to verify that the camera hadn't fallen off. Of course if it had... I'd likely never find it.

Looked good Tony - Cheesy Musac and all (I sort of thought it went quite well) I liked it, I wanted to immediately go for a ride as well as get a Gopro (of course without the talent to splice and fade it wouldn't be the same.)
I think I'm in danger of growing old badly but who bloody cares!

Rather than the cheesy music, I would have preferred to hear the FJ engine instead
