Hi folks.
What a great web site. I had an annoying vibe but a quick trawl through the forum seems to have lead me to the problem. All sorted (at least it seems to be).
Anyway My name's Keith and I live in Otaki, just north of Wellington, New Zealand. I am an old fart (63 years young) and a keen rider, when I can find the time.
I bought my FJ1200 just over two years ago and have done 15,000 km on it. Quite a few of those two-up, with my wife. The Yamaha is a 1991 model and had only 27,000 km on it when I bought it.
I am a classic car enthusiast also, so a classic bike just sort of makes sense.
Any one in my area who is looking for a riding friend or just someone with a common interest to chinwag with could ring me on 027 523 1531 or (06) 364 5549.

Welcome Keith, I look forward to riding the roads you have there in Kiwiland, stunning and majestic. At least you have some fellow riders on your lovely plot of island. I am sure they will post up and plan a ride or two...

Hi Keith.

Had my FJ about 5 years now . Great bike , Great site this for help and assistance. Bit difficult getting some parts here but parts fro US or UK normally arrive in less than a week.  Just done steering head bearings so mine off the road should be registered and ready to go again before christmas.
I live in Waikanae I will give you a call be good to meet up some time

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome.
The thought of linking up with some fellow FJ riders just might lure me across the ditch, even though I hate flying and don't much like cities.
Hey Phil,
You are just down the road from me. Give me a ring sometime; (06) 364 5549 or (027) 523 1531. Email is keithandsue.h@compassnet.co.nz . How is the bike coming along? Still look like going by Xmas? Mine is temporarily sidelined too : fuel tank issue (see thread on maintenance section). I am going to Whanganui on Boxing Day with a few other Ulysses members. Will you be going by any chance?
Hey if any of you guys are over this way make sure you let me know. I'm only too happy to show people around our corner of paradise.
As for age, George, you're in good company mate. You only have a fey years on me I am 63 years young and getting younger by the year. Motorcycling does that to you. I live by the Ulysses moto " Growing old disgracefully". My other motto is "Growing old is inevitable; Growing up is optional". I don't intend growing up any time soon. I don't know about the rest of you, but if you ride an FJ I guess I already know the answer, eh.
