Just picked up an white 89, completely stock with $18k miles. Its my 2nd FJ, my other I purchased new in 86 and put about 30k miles on it in a couple of years. In Sep I posted to Facebook a picture of my wife and I on the old 86, she saw the posting and remembered how much she enjoyed us riding on it, thus I decided to get another one. Found it in southern CA and rode it back up to the bay area on Tuesday. I forgot how much I really like these bikes, so much fun. While the bodywork is in good shape, its needs a little work mechanically, so I ordered the parts from RPM and it should keep me busy for a few weekends. I will need some help with things like valve adjustments, so if anyone out there knows a good shop for these bikes on the bay area, help me out please.

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on your sweet ride. There are a ton of awesome guys in California who would be more than  willing to help out. Give them a few more minute to chime in. RPM is an awesome resource as well.

Oh no, not another Andy from the Bay area!
LOL, welcome to the madness.

Our other Andy is a limey, but still a damn good bloke.
And can that guy ride! He can hustle is 86 like no other!

We welcome any and all pictures you'd like to share.

Yes, welcome to our little FJ thing.

I assume that you and your wife will be joining us for the West Coast Rally next year? Good times to be had by all!

Bugger!!!

Welcome anyway, I am not sure how far North I will be riding next week with Steve (Moparman) but if you pay attention, you might be able to catch us on our SoCal run. Then again we could head South for margarita country. Stay tuned to the FJ channel....

Welcome Andy.  Lots of good members in your area. Try to get over to a rally next spring if you can. The rally is a great way to meet the members. RPM is not far from you and is probably the best one stop answer to any FJ parts and questions.  Randy is also a rider.   :good2:

I'm in San Jose, can help with valve adjustment...  perhaps while I do mine too, and have the gauges to balance your carbs.  PM if interested.

Randy - Can I get the shim kit for next weekend?

No offence, mate.
We are all a very close group here and love a good poke in the ribs from time to time.

Remember, most of us have met each other face to face at different rallies around the country
and have the highest regard for each other.

Welcome Back Andy.... Take Frank up on his offer...if anything, just to get a look at his stable...so to speak.

Welcome to the forum,  :hi:

There are a few members up in your area. As Pat mentioned, take Frank up on his offer. You will drool over his FJ. Don't look too close, as the thoughts and ideas will drain your wallet.

I like the choice of color for your FJ. Theft Deterrent color is the best in my opinion.

Andy,

I know I am a little bit from you, but there are many members who can tell you that the ride over will be the best thing you can do for your FJ.

Frank is a good source for maintenance type items closer to you, but for complete service, repairs or upgrades I am going to be your best source.

Fell free to Reach out to me or my son Robert and we can take care of your needs.

Randy, it's ok to send the kit to Frank...I have plenty to do on this '93....I can wait 'till the following week.
