Well, they are not new, but they do scrub up quite ok. Through our friend Doug (Baldy) I was offered a Givi Pannier/topbox set, that was slighlty neglected and bent by the owner Doug had bought them from (came with the bike he bought actually). The lower arms needed a bit of straightening, old paint had to be stripped and redone, new stainless bolts were used, and the panniers were cleaned with 303 Protectant. Still have to redo the reflective striping around the panniers, and the topbox frame which has been tig welded back together still has to stripped/painted.

Very happy with how they turned out, models are the older E36 sides and E45 topbox. Will give them a run this weekend at Mapleton and see how they go,  :good2: Thanks for thinking of me when you got these Doug  :drinks:

Mmm at a rough guess I'd say 12 cans with a bag of ice each side Ken,

Staying on theme, nice rack Ray.

Best I've found to date is $1300 for new ones.

I did two trips a few months ago almost back to back. The first one was the most rain I have ever ridden through over 2500kms, with soft luggage, the second was on a bike with a full set of large hard luggage.
Man, what a difference, even without the rain. I'm sure you'll love them.

Good one!

Really like the seat cover. Haven't seen anything like it Stateside.

The sheepskin covers are quite comfy, this one has been on the bike for approx 20 years, and is still great. This is the place that has them http://www.sheepyhollow.com/.  :bye2:

My rack has been worked on Noel to get it this nice
I found out that even though these Givis are a few years old, the newest Monokey streamlined panniers fit straight on as well.  They are a good design, and I would expect them to last a long time yet,

I have the same cases for my FJ.  I sometimes refer to the FJ with the cases attached as my first bagger (a term applied to the big Harley touring models).
