Riding through town today, there was an SUV VERY CLOSE to my tail. I was going about 5 or 10 KPH above the limit. As soon as we exited town, it sped past me. Here's where my stupid American aggressive rider came out. I poured the fuel to the fire, and in a safe area I passed him - the KOOKALOO gauge reached the max, and the FJ was pulling HARD. I quit at about 130 MPH or so (was not watching the gauges). Then a police car pulled out in front of me from the left from a wooded area. He certainly did not see me. I hit both brakes as much as I dared. I have a feeling I smoked the back tire. I stopped in time, and we all pressed on like nothing happened, but two old ladies saw the whole thing. As I passed them I saw them laughing at me hysterically. I know they thought I was going to hit the police car. What a story THAT would be!

We all need events like this to teach us to throttle back a little. Sometimes this does not end well.

Yeah, but when everything goes well, it's so much fun! Glad to hear that you didn't get nailed... either way..
