I was fortunate to find a pair of Yoshimura slip on's on eBay that are in pretty good shape. I've always wanted a pair of these. I am in the process of repacking them and general restoration. Currently I'm disassembling and waiting on the fiberglass packing material. Here are the pictures;

Instead of fiberglass packing, use scrub able stainless steel, and you will never have to repack them again.

Ever.

Also ceramic fiber is a good packing material. Nice mufflers. Pat will give you polishing instructions  :lol:... :drinks:

Really?  Ummm... interesting.. my muffler needs to be repacked.. I know people have used S/S.. didn't realize that was one of the more inexpensive options.. I take it you speak from experience?  :)

Hey Garth, yes, I've done it and it is expensive. I bought mine from Burns:

I have the same cans. I like the nice throaty sound without being too loud. I always liked the looks of them too.

They look classy on the FJ. I wouldn't mind having a set myself.

I have them too -- came on the bike and at first I wasn't sure I was keeping them.  But I grew to like them - they give the bike a throaty sound without being too loud for touring.

Ha!  That 'ol thing?  Probably Nick (the one making the funny face).  Since the BSA was an old military bike - desert sand color under the red - He's 16 now and wants to be a Marine since he was 5!  The other two would prefer the FJ or the TDM even though the BSA is worth more.
