Had a carb leak that was pretty bad, I described it in another post....ran two tanks of fuel with Seafoam added and leak has completely stopped. Very happy with the results.

Wow, you got off easy. I've got some in my garage too. Some use the Seafoam on a maintenance basis too.

I had similar success on a non-FJ application using something called Techron http://www.techron.com/.

I'm doing a Seafoam treatment right now as well on my '89. Last week I took the carbs off and gave them a spray clean with carb cleaner (just removed float bowl covers and doused em). After that idle is low and rough, so I'm guessing I forced gunk into idle circuit (just guessing). I filled the carbs with Seafoam last night and letting them sit for a day. Tonight i'll run a Seafoam/gas mix - i have a small funnel attached by surgical tubing to the intake of the fuel pump. Then will take it for a good ride on good old gasoline. Will post results tomorrow. Saw a Youtube where someone did this and it fixed his issues - fingers crossed as i really don't want to take the carbs off again.

I've had some bad history with carb trouble. Past few years I've used Seafoam regularly. No carb issues since. Works for me.  :good2:

Seafoam hey, ive lost count how many times ive had carbs on and off in the initial stages of getting everything perfect. I reckon its made me quicker at it though, glad i took it on cause carbs dont scare me anymore.
