Does the headlight and instrument gauges light up when you turn the ignition key on?

If they do not....30 amp main fuse, or completely dead battery.

When you tried to start it, did it fire up ?  They will run for quiet a while with just the fuel in the bowls. Run/stop switch in run ? As Pat said not enough information. If the bowls are full and under pressure you will not hear any clicking. There is also a fuel pump relay in the system with associated connectors.
More information please, I know it can be frustrating.

holy bajesus-I had flipped the on off switch to off(I never touch it and always just leave it on) God gawd it was the obvious and I completely overlooked it and went for the hard stuff and assumed the worst first :dash2:

I don't know about everyone, but if you ride long enough, you will eventually do this at least once. Or, you'll have a child or a friend who will do it for you..

The other scenario is pulling up to a rest stop/refuel, kill the motor with the kill switch, then forget to turn the ignition off and drain the battery.
