Oil light comes in under hard throttle

Hey fellas. I installed an rpm oil cooler and spin off filter adapter recently, also  new throttle cables. Under hard acceleration- like 6500 rpm In First and second gear the oil light comes on. The bike doesn't burn oil and the level is perfect in the sight glass. This is an alarming sight. The light goes back off in A second or two after letting off the throttle...any comments or suggestions? Other than not getting it so hard :) can't help it! This is an 89 with 34k miles

Matt, just bring the level up a little higher in the sight glass..... the level sensor is in the front of the crank case and when you give it hard acceleration, the oil moves to the back and brings on the light.... its not really a problem as long as you have sufficient oil.

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

I used to have this problem, but solved it after putting on the RPM oil filter adapter with a larger filter, and put a full 4 quarts of oil in the bike, which brings the oil level up to the top of the sight glass.

Carry on.

After installing oil pressure gauge I can say pressure is OK in general. Put another 50 HP in the engine that light will be on thru 4 gears on a 10 degree incline....pressure does start to move to the low side. That's a different subject (50% increase in HP, pinning the throttle on an incline in a straight line etc). The info I got on here was more about side load oil movement/good oil pressure with Legends that are only optimized FJ engines.
Moving up an on ramp with a 10 or 15 degree incline slope making 50 to 70% more horsepower changes the formula IMO. Deep sumps are everywhere now.
