Whilst washing my FJ late this morning (yes, I washed it just two days ago but hit rain on the way home from the Southern Ontario Clinic and as everyone knows, a  clean bike is a happy bike, but I digress...) A burgundy '88 Katana 1100 rolled by, two up. I almost pulled the trigger on one back in '89. There was a new '88 on the showroom floor (at Inglis Cycle), I had just sold my '81 Seca 750 and was going to get an FJ or Katana. They talked me into the Katana - the paperwork was filled out, bank loan approved and all I had to do was go in a sign on the dotted line. My dad told me to sleep on it before making the decision and I did, and opted not to go into debt for a motorcycle. Less than a year later I bought a house instead (speaking of debt) and bought an '84 V45 Sabre later that year for something like $1,600. Anyway, I've always admired the 1100 Katana, especially in burgundy. Would love to take one for a ride some day...

They are a good looking bike. I also have almost bought a couple of them over the years.  Much like the the FJ,  if you look long enough there are some real good prices on them.  I think the FJ has more parts availability though.  Last spring after the WCR I ran across a very nice one asking around  1200.00.

Its a good thing I don't have a lot of money because if I did I would probably be a "motorcycle hoarder"

Life isn't about having the best, but about making the best of what you have...

........and here I thought you were teasing me for not being able to make it to the clinic yesterday.......... :mocking:
Never regret your choices in life ! There is no way to go back to do it again and compare. Make the most and do your best with every decision you make
