Wow...so sorry to hear about your loss Randy.  I lost a good friend in San Diego the same way 25 years ago.  Over the years, the pain of the loss lessens and so many good memories of him will prevail.  You and your family are in my thoughts...

We have been through tragedy, such as Lotsokids accident, and shared the sorrow and pain associated with them; but we survive and move forward.

Yes, I certainly see a parallel with the good people here and their (and your) amazing support.

Be careful, and remember everyone driving a car is trying to kill you when you are riding a motorcycle.

Wise words Randy, and the rule I ride by too. Our thoughts are with you, Chandra and your family.

Randy, add me to the list of those sorry to hear about the loss.

My heart and prayers go out to those effected.

It's that time of the year, we're going to see more than a few riders killed, sucks that much more when it is this close to home....

Shit. Sorry Randy, words fail.
A few years ago my uncle, a great, great guy, was killed on his FJR1300 while out on an afternoon ride. That was a terrible phone call from out of the blue...
I hope you wife weathers it ok. Time will help, but it'll never quite heal.
Good luck; know that the two of you are in all our thoughts. We're all hoping for the best for you.

Live hardy, or go home.

Sad, sad news...Condolences from me and mine, to you and your family.

John.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

Sincere condolences Randy. I know this is tough to deal with.
Appreciate the safety advice. I don't believe in "when it's your time", I think we have a card in that game. Not that we should live in bubble. Obviously... I ride too. There may not have been anything your friend could have done. I don't know, but this scenario of a car turning in front of a bike may be the about the most common "deadly" accident there is. Don't bet your life that a car sees you, is stopping at the sign, wont change into your lane etc.

Randy please accept my condolences. This is tragic news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this very hard time. I too was a victim of a left hand turning cager many years ago, and still consider myself lucky to have only suffered a few scars.
Take care....
