I recently purchased an 84 FJ600 and am trying to fix her up myself. It was missing a few parts and I did not check compression when I purchased (I realize this was not the smartest decision) but my friend assured me I could recoup my money by parting it out if I have to, though I am really hoping I don't have to do that. Any and all advice would be welcome.

The FJ600 part seems to be there, what's with the tank????

Seller offered me choice of tanks since I'm wanted to go with a ratted bobber look I took that one.  I have someone who is going to help me make it fit properly.

Works for me, just wanted to know if you were going for stock or modified... Parts might be hard to find either way... Welcome dude...

Are the parts from the 1100 and 1200 compatible with my 600.  From what I understand the XJ is has the same motor. I was thinking I'd use whatever fit.

Specifically the clutch and the rear master cylinder are the two big ones I will need to address

Welcome to the group,  :hi:

Looks like the rear master cylinder for the FJ1100/FJ1200 is used on the FJ600. The clutch for the FJ600 looks to be cable actuated, the FJ1100/FJ1200 is hydraulically actuated.
