What ya think....when selecting first gear from a standstill there's all manner of clatter sometimes, like somethings not quite right, then after a few more prods in we go and she's away. The problem is helped by walking the bike forward a bit, and other times it goes in just fine, no fuss. I thought the clutch was dragging maybe, but on a random google search, it mentioned bent selector forks and the like. Bugger a massive strip down, but if I get enough of you suggesting a slave cylinder, well that's doable. Of course I'm hoping that if I re-bleed the system it'll all go away. Maybe one of those speed bleeders would help???

I think it is the slave cylinder dying...

It is leaking, so now has air in the system and not disengaging the clutch.

You can try the bleed first and see if it gets any better, but if you pull the master cylinder cap and it is low, then the slave is bad.

Good call Randy, check the easy stuff first....
