I met up with Bill Reed yesterday morning for a ride west to the mountains of Va.  It was a great day to be on the bike, and I'm slowly getting back in riding shape. Once we got onto rt.56 I was feeling great and the 91 was running perfectly. It was a lot of fun making a brisk ride up the mountain on a very familiar road.
Riding up the mountain I noticed my clutch lever felt a bit odd as I needed to pull the lever all the way back to the grip to change gears.

We took a look and found out I had a leaking slave cylinder. The good thing is I could head home on the interstate and only have to use the clutch 3 or 4 times between the mountains and home. I made it home easily and located a new cylinder in the garage. In less than an hour I had the new one installed and the system bled and working properly again.  I love an easy fix.. I'm also happy that it happened on a ride rather than in two weeks on my way to Boone.
