I just returned from a visit to Omaha Beach at Normandy nearly 70 years after D-Day. Amazing opportunity! Very sobering place. I am U.S. Air Force retired, so this is a very special place to me. It is the final resting place for 9,387 brave soldiers who paid the ultimate price for freedom.

My son walking on Omaha Beach, where nearly 70 years ago it ran red with the blood of brave soldiers.

Thanks for sharing this...I can't imagine how moving it must have been to stand on that beach.  ...and thank YOU for your service!   :hi:
