Been surfing the forum for a while now, so thought it about time I introduce myself; I'm Glenn and I live in Vancouver, BC.  Bought a tidy '89 FJ1200 last fall and spent the winter doing some minor renovations.  All stock apart from Cobra cans and Corbin saddle.  Only got a couple of rides in last fall, but put the plates on this weekend and looking forward to a full season this year!  I rode an FJ1100 back in the day back in the old country (UK), but I've been away from FJ's and bikes in general for a few years.  Also have a restored KZ650 in the stable for even more old skool air cooled fun and a change of pace, so you could say I'm back with a vengeance  :yahoo:

:hi: Hi and welcome to the crazy gang hang out. We have several members in and around your area who will chime in soon.

What part of the 'old country' are you from  :scratch_one-s_head:

Nice '89 btw :good2:

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely, in an attractive & well preserved body...but rather to slide in sideways, body completely worn out and and with your last dying breath screaming, "HOOOYA LIFE, lets try that again"!!!

Hi Glenn.

Welcome.  I live just across the Straight from you in Nanaimo. Hopefully we can get together for a ride sometime this season.  Give some thought to attending the west coast rally next month.

Welcome, and very clean looking "Theft Deterrent" Silver & White you got there.  If I was not so hooked on the "Ambulance" Red & White of my 86', the Silver & White would be my color choice.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

'86 Ambulance - Bent frame, cracked case, due for an overhaul
'89 Stormy Blue - Suits my Dark Side

Hey Derek, won't make the West Coast Rally this year, but it's on my radar for next year.  Look me up if you make it over to the mainland this summer.

Welcome Glenn. I'm a noob here too. Getting my FJ (back) later this week (this will be the second time that I've owned it). Vancouver is wonderful, my wife and I visited there years ago. We'll be embarking there for a Disney cruise with the extended family this summer-coming up a few days early to see the Butchart gardens and Victoria. I've got a KZ in the garage too, 1980 KZ1000 with extensive mods. Enjoy your FJ!
