Finally some real nice weather.  Put the FJ together, bled the brakes and clutch master cyl.. Did some testing of the brakes and noticed a slight clunking noise in the front end... Turned the steering head adjustment down 1/4 turn, clunk gone.  Went for a short low speed shake down.  Made the first corner and noticed a sever oversteer condition (like power steering). Spooky.... Same in left or right turn.  Went back home.  Oh, yea I haven't checked the tire pressure since last May... Yep, 24 lbs in the front and about the same in the rear... Put them up to the max at 42 lb.  Went for a test run... Fixed 95% of the problem. I went back and raised the front end about 10mm.  And now she is good... Nice and neutral, front forks are wonderful, rear shock feels good.  More road  testing needed and it going to be 76 tomorrow !! :good2: :good2: :good2:.

A fellow FJ rider stopped by and he had a 90 mph wobble.  Pulled his front wheel off and put it on the balancer.  It was way off on the weights and position. Rebalanced the tire and by all accounts wobble is fixed.  Made tentative arrangements to check his valves and sync his carbs.

Mowed the yard, had a beer   :drinks: and smiled.....  Tuning next.

That was the day.

Yes, third time..... Pressurized irrigation is on.  A bit early as our last average night of freezing weather is around May 15th.  But I will take what ever I can get.  Nice to get out and shake down the bike.  Snow has been replaced with sand and pot holes, drivers not use to seeing bikes and bike riders trying to get back into the grove after 6 months of starring out the window looking at crappy weather.
