Anyone else follow Moto GP? Just watched qualifying and the results are both interesting and surprising. Less than .6 sec. separate the top 10. Other than Marquez on pole the rest of the full prototype factory bikes seem to be left wondering. If the supersoft rear tires can survive a full race it could be a very interesting come race time.

Aleix Espargaro has been fast all weekend, including race simulations on the harder 'open' tire, which is the same as the 'factory' medium tire which is apparently the choice of race tire for the Factory Hondas and Yamahas.

He came off a couple of times in Q2, which is why he is down the order a bit, but no less a figure than Rossi reckones he has the goods for the race:

I don't know about all this dumbing down of the MotoGp bikes but that is the way things are going.

Enjoy the race!

I agree, although Aspargaro managed to bin two bikes he should not be discounted out of the front mix. I'm curious if any of the open class will attempt to run with supersofts. I did notice that Rossi ran the harder of the proto class tires while Lorenzo ran the softer rear. The rules seem to change rapidly as the rest catch up or surpass the factory protos. Should be an interesting race.

Hein, I do watch MotoGP as well.  Could I ask a small favor?  If you ( or anyone) posts any comments about race results, would you mind adding Spoiler Alert  or similar before the body of the message?  I probabaly won't get to watch until Sunday evening or early Monday AM andtypically try to avoid knowing the outcome beforehand.  Thank you!
Rossi thinks lil' Esapargaro has some potential?  Well, I'll call him a good judge of rider ability.  Here's hoping its an interesting season, not just the Lorenzo- Marquez show.

I miss the Speed Channel  :cray: instead of saying " insert any motorsports event here" I am forced to talk to the wife.

Relax, NO SPOILER.

Three very good races, best I've seen in some time. Speed Vision no longer carries Moto GP nor WSBK in Canada so I subscribe to the respective video pass for the two series. No more missing parts of the races due to commercials for nascar or reality tv shows.

The last two laps were awesome, some good balls out racing....  :good2:

Yes it was a real "cracker". I feel your pain Hein, I watch Motogp on Speed and have to sit through the stupid NASCAR , Dumbest Stuff on Wheels ,et al commercials.

OK, I'm clear of the spoiler alert.  Thanks everyone for saving it for me!
It was quite a race!  First lap shocker and the last 3-ish laps were dynamite!  We'll see, maybe it won't just be the Lorenzo-Marquez show after all!  Quite close until the attrition started.  Hein, we no longed have SpeedVision, it's now FoxSports1.  They only seem to be carrying the 1 liter race.  I was  getting all spun up with a 30 minute pre-show until I noticed it was a 90 minute program instead of the usual 60 minutes.

Its too bad that Foxsport1 doesn't show the Moto 2&3 races as they were both very good. I can't confirm it but I was told that in Canada SpeedVision will show both these races on Mon. and Tue. night. I no longer get this channel but for those that do they are both well worth watching. NO SPOILERS.

I might be going! I'm from here, so it's not a big trip for me. But maybe I can show some of you guys the roads around here if you come on your bikes!

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.
