Hello!
Starting a new project, picked up an old Fj1100 from 85. Going to rebuild it bobber/cafe/streetfighter-ish style :) We will see what it turns out to be haha :)
Its been standing around for a few years, but i got it running, except the fuel pretty much runs straight through the carbs :/ So thats first off, before the rebuilding part.

Something like this is what im aiming for, this is an early paint picture, but you get an idea of what im thinking

We're not a club. Clubs have rules. Pay dues. Wear hats and shit.

Thats a nice looking bike :)

Have a lot of plans/ideas for the project, but Ill let the piictures speak for them selves further on. Then we´ll see how many who hates or likes it :D

fintip

That bike was in rough shape, not a good candidate for a pure breed anyways.

I don't know about the handlebars and the seat size, colors... But you're definitely going to want to replace the tank and pipes, for anything of the style it looks like you're going for. (I definitely wouldn't call what you're doing a cafe or a street fighter, by the way... Looks like a cruiser convert attempt there, if I have to title it.)

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

Notice how the flat black on the stock tank, look smaller and part of the seat and tail. Smart

Its not gonna look like the picture. Gonna keep the tank, make a solo seat with crocodile leather, sand/brown color. Going to be details in copper color, overall matt black. Some bits in white as well.

Here´s some things ive bought

Strange they kept the passenger pegs on.

I didn't notice the pegs. Maybe it look weard without them. Look at the fork tubes- I saw a writeup on how to change to those tubes. I thing it was on a UK FJ site. I'll try to find it.
