I'm going to guess that those shift points are selected with ultimate fuel economy in mind. :negative: I'm pretty sure  I have never used those shift point recommendations........ever.

I've always just listened & been able to tell when a gear change needed to take place.

No need to twist it any further when its not building any more power.  :dash2:

in traffic, my shift points are around 5 miles above those listed, shifting by the engine revs, except 5th. It's a little "luggish" around the 30-40mph range.  So, not bad, but really who watches the speedo to determine when to shift? You can both hear and feel when it's time..
