Although I've been a member for two or three years now, thought I'd reintroduce myself now that I'm officially an East Coast resident.  It's been a drawn out process but we bought a home in Mooresville North Carolina back in late November.  It was built back in 1938 and finally sold by the lone surviving family member, aka, original owner.  Kind of cool to know the history of the house and all "additions" to said home.  The wife and I have probably watched too many HGTV shows which along with a good friend in the area who happens to be a contractor, has put us in a state of constant massive renovation for probably a lengthy time frame.  It was nice to have the friends help as far as inspection and area knowledge of what needs to be done and what was.  It's your basic brick rancher with a lot of square footage via additions but like boxes stuck to others so walls torn down, new support beams and piers, drywall, mud/tape, subflooring, reclaiming the oak that had been covered for the last 50 yrs with carpet, but the hard work all done as far as the home "bones".  In the last five years new roof/gutters, heat and ac, windows, plumbing, most wiring, etc. 
  All that being said, needless to say I haven't been out on the FJ for a while (also dealing with an actual "winter" here) until a couple of weeks ago when the weather was stellar and we were out of renovation money for the month.  Figured I'd post again and see if there was anyone in the area.  Noticed as well that there was a rally that looks to be based out of Boone which if I'm not working (part time gig at Lowes to supplement the retirement income AND 10% employee discount) would be interested in at least riding up for one of the days and meeting some fellow owners and see their rides.  With spring hopefully on it's way and more done on the home, we'll be out and riding more.  If there's anyone in the close area, please let me know and we can get together and take the scooters out for a ride and maybe grab a cool beverage.

Mooresville.. just north of Charlotte on lake Norman.  I have a good friend just south of there - Cornelius.   

That's a prime location for ECR's, especially Boone.
