What a beauty, eh? I hope the men's team wins gold as well but this means more to the women's team. This is the top tournament for them. After the Winter Olympics is over, the men will go back to their multi-million dollar contracts - just not the same. But still, I want them to win for Canada!

....caught a gold at just the right time.........a little sneezing...and runny nose.....and sinus congestion......just enough to call in sick today.....cough cough.... :cray:......... :yahoo: ....great game...US played exceptionally well....dominated for most of the game.......but Hockey is a 60....sometimes 77 minute game....

     a lucky bounce ....a stupid lineswoman... an empty net goal post...an over anxious goalie and a girl named Poulin........and there it is.......a little jingle by Burl Ives

I must say..Price has silenced a few critics.......Quick was also up to the task....probably the best 1-0 game I have ever seen.........It takes a great team to bring out the best in Canadian hockey and the US always brings out the best in us..... :drinks: now go get the silver !!!!! :good:

No can do....we play a consolation game for the bronze (sigh)

Sweden will get the silver.

And the gold will go home to the nation who invented the sport... It's only fitting.. :hi:

....but US has come a long way in a short period of time.......one of my Fav movies is the "Miracle on Ice" with Kurt Russel playing Herb Brooks.......1980 Lake Placid Gold medal game against the Russians........one of the best Hockey movies ever !!!!!  :hi:
