I have a 1991 FJ1200 and i wanted to buy a set of Delkevic carbon fiber slip ons, but don't know what size would look and perform the best.  Does anyone have pictures? The 13" or the 17"? HELP!?!?!?

Hi and welcome!

Performance wize it really dosn't matter that much. The they will all give the same performance.
I think the 17" is the length that's most common used, approx 430-450mm..

There are users on the forum with Delkevic fitted and they really look nice. Try the forums search engine and see if something comes up. Owners with Delkevic fitted will surely chip in on the thread.

While your at it, introduced yourself over at the introduction section so we could get to know you  :good2:

Cheers

I have just (in the last two weeks) fitted the shorter carbon fibre cans and they look the nuts.

I think the longer ones look a little 'disproportionate'. Just my opinion and others may disagree.

If you look at the other threads I have put up in the last week or so you will pick up on some of the snags I have come across.

When you fit them you will find you need play about with a number if variables in order to get them to sit, right, look right and provide all necessary clearances.  You will need to come up with a solution to the fact the centre stand has no where to 'bump' against when it retracts.
I think these were designed to fit the xjr in the first instance and delkevic realized they could be retro fitted to the FJ.

Can you help me out? Do you have any measurements you can offer in relation to this thread.

A life has been well lived, if you have planted trees under who's shade you do not expect to sit.

I'm told I'm cynical, pessimistic and generally miserable. I say that I'm realistic! The fact that reality sucks is not my fault!

You can always cut a longer one down.  It's frequently difficult to cut a short one longer.

Personally, I detest the stubby muffler look in all forms it takes, so I know which I'd be buying :)

Just to clarify, by shorter I am referring to the 350mm variety,  not the stubby ones which I believe are about 9" long and (as I understand) are not road legal in the uk
