Hi guys, are the tools still available for doing the shims?
. Will prob take my winter hack off the road in the next month or so and check the valve clearances. Would like to order from uk but will gladly get from Randy if he has them.
Thanks, Sean.

Good ! It is one of the very few "special" tools you need to have doing your own service work.

Just thinking about what else i might need. Prod should replace the rubber grommets for the cam cover bolts. Is the gasket reusable? Prob depends on condition and how long it's been in there.
Was also considering a shim kit as i believe the shims are the same size as the two Triumphs i have. Are they 25mm?
Anything else i might need or consider replacing while i'm doing the shims.
Thanks, Sean.

You're right on all counts there.

IIRC, Toyota dealers can also get 'em, even in half-sizes.   :scratch_one-s_head:

Supposedly, the Mondeo used them as well.  Some Honda's too (bikes), if memory serves.

Read it someplace.  Dunno what the hell a Mondeo is.
