I'm not the fastest FJ rider, I am 'half-fast', the fastest slow guy....

Current

1996 VFR750 RC36/2
1990 FJ1300 (1297cc) Casper

Willits is close....
1) for the folks who come down from BC, Idaho, Washington, Oregon
2) for a day ride down to Lake Sonoma and Scagg Springs Rd.
3) for a day ride up to Leggett and the Redwood Forrest via Hwy 1

Less $$ than Pet-the-tuna.

My vote is in...
1) Free Owners Manual download: https://tinyurl.com/fmsz7hk9
2) Don't store your FJ with E10 fuel https://tinyurl.com/3cjrfct5
3) Replace your old stock rubber brake lines.
4) Important items for the '84-87 FJ's:

Willits was the location voted for at the 2013 WCR.

I'm good with Willits...  guess I missed the voting at WCR 2013.  I am a little amazed we don't do one of these things at the coast rather than risk the heat inland.  I had to throw some shit in the game by voting for "other", but I'll gladly do Willits.

Not having seen Willits, I voted for it. Let's see how much fun we can have.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Thanks George!!!!  :ireful: :ireful: :ireful: I have the images of a rally of the past and the good times I missed, and I have to spend the next 3 weeks far from home teaching welding robots, AKA not riding....  :cray: I need a hug and a Kookalooo from my FJ...

Willits works for me...mostly because it works for lots of other folks coming down from Oregon and Canada.  Should be another great rally!

Do we have a date set?

Same time every year, the weekend after Memorial Day. May 30, 31 & June 1. The lodging just emptied out, the LEOs taking a needed break from a holiday weekend, time for Kookalooo and campfire.

Something else we talked about at last years WCR was possibly integrating a track day at Thunderhill into the weekend. I just checked the track schedule and Thursday, May 29th is still available for private rental by us as a group or Friday the Zoom Zoom motorcycle track day group is available and we can each individually attend that event.

It there is interest in possibly doing our own private track day on Thursday the 29th, I would like to know.

So, I am going to create another poll so it can be voted on. If this does move forward, then there will be required deposits for those who will be participating.

I do not have details at this point as I want to see if there is enough interest before spending time sorting this out.

But hey, the 30th anniversary of the FJ topped off with a private track day, can it get better?

See poll here to vote; WCR track day
