I was replacing my chain and sprocket when my friend decided to pull the large pin looking thing out and clean it. He pulled it half way out and felt something fall inside. now we cannot get the pin to go all the way back in. Need help ASAP please on how to fix it!

How do you know it is not all the way in? It needs to stick out a bit so the clutch slave can push on the rod, separating the plates and preventing power to the chain. This rod has been shot out by many when they started their bike with the clutch slave off. And allegedly speared a cat or two. In all cases, regardless of the condition of the cat, or amount of oil puked on to the floor, the rod went back in with no issues. Even the ball bearing was not lost, or at least no one has confirmed losing one this way. Reassemble and test, you should be just fine.

Welcome and Merry Christmas.

There should be a bright seal mark left on the rod left by the pushrod seal. If this mark lines up with the seal, you should be good to go.

With out being there and seeing whats going on and from your description I would bleed the clutch slave unit. Are you sure it's in neutral ? Dash neutral light on ?
