Nice purchase! Looks very clean. As I recall the ergos on the FZRs was pretty comfy compared to the hyper sports that came along a couple years later.

Great looking pair of Stallions .....very nice.....look forward to riding together  :good2:

I also have another Yamaha..... I ride her every chance I get.......

I am thinking about starting a Post in the  " Video " section......and call it  "CanD's Corner"  where I take requests and Play songs that people would like to hear....it would be a lot fun.......

Thxs for the positive comments, I do like the seating postion on the FJ much better, my knees are up way to high on the FZR, since I,m 6'2"
FZR also came with the factory exhaust which is mint and the rear seat cowl.
Also have a 93 Gixer 1100 first yr water cooled and my son owns the 86 Gix-er 1100 first yr. for that model.

Insurance is 8 for the FJ and 920 for the 86 Gix-er
The 3 bikes will keep me going for a bit, need more room if I get anymore..lol
Yep and looking forward to getting together and doing some riding next yr.

Last week I showed up at the pub to shoot some league pool and it was also karaoke night.  The place was pretty full with a lot of music-minded folks and I walked in wearing my "YAMAHA RACING" tee shirt.  This guy sitting at a table with his friends points at me and starts laughing..."Yamaha RACING????  They make guitars and pianos!!!"  All his friends started laughing too.  I said, "Yes, but they make the fastest pianos of anyone out there!"

Wow that is an awesome machine. Oddly enough I also have an FZR 1000. It's a 1991 with 3,000 kloms. Mint condition, an absolute thriller. There are days when you need to let the hooligan in you out!!! Enjoy!!

I've always thought that FZR looked awesome. I considered getting one of those instead of an FJ, but in the end, the FJ made a lot more sense.

Still, wouldn't mind having both.

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

I'm wondering how it will stack up against the 86 Gixer, I'll take the Gixer up to 160 clicks on my FJ and then it goes by me, you have that 100 lbs
of weight difference.
Should be fun finding out.
