 :morning1: g'day
Seems a bit unfair when most of my home state is burning that we get 40 mm in 30 mins plus hail up here. But, it happened and I won't forget it. I have ridden in hail once before,( 28 on a dr250,t shirt and jeans through a hail storm, yeah OUCH), but this time?
Hmmmm
Left toowoomba at 12, raining lightly, out towards Hampton it gets heavier, no biggy, got my jacket and gloves on, as I got about 3 k from home the heavy rain turned to hail, pea size and like snow! Bloody everywhere!!!!! Road as slippery as hell!! Got to 60 zone, rode at about 50, bike loose as, slowed to make left hand turn. Squeezed rears and fronts gently, was slowing then sliding, off brakes then back on gently bit harder on the rear then front, front tucked and BANG. Sigh.
Again.
This time I cracked the rear bolt on side scoop, bent both LH footpegs, broke shiny bit of rear footpeg, big hole in Cdi cover, centre stand dings in exhaust LH, somehow a ding in rh side of tank.
  I hate hail
Pics to come.
Cheers
Neil

Yup.
She looks tatty and yes I know I need a new seat but race tapes good for colour.
The screen and mirror I did on my previous foray into stupidity. No surprise it's not handling the same, it needs love.

Wow...second report of a low side today!   :shok:

I got caught in a brief hail storm in San Diego years ago...hurt like hell, but not heavy enough to make the roads slick...must have been a handful!

How did you fare in the crash?

FJZ1 1200 - It'll do me just fine.
Timing has much to do with the success of a rain dance.

Your not having too much luck staying upright lately Neil  :shok:  Haven't been caught in a hail storm yet, but saw a bloke on a bike get caught once in hail as big as golf balls, jagged edges on it as well, he would've been black and blue the next day.

You mean to say your bike looks worse than what it did on the Nobby ride :sarcastic: :sarcastic: that thing needs a whole lot of loving to get it pretty again.
