GOT IT IN MY HOT LITTLE HANDS!!!

THANK GOODNESS for good friends! I did not miss out on a day of riding, EVEN rode an '89 that looks just like mine!
Now back to the cabin so Jeff can get busy and change out the fork seals and not miss Macado's tonite!

Dan, sorry you & MD can't make it!

Andrew has a new pair of RoadSmart IIs as of today.  Tomorrow morning, we're going to leave and go north while all of north Atlanta is stuck in traffic going south.  We may double back and take a second trip up 129 / Blood Mountain because I'll want to try his bike in the twisties, but we'll head north through north Georgia and Sylva, NC.  We'll either hit the Blue Ridge Parkway before Waynesville, or we'll stop in Asheville for lunch and hit the parkway from there.  We'll hop off in Linville and take 105 to Boone.  Should be a nice 8 hours (versus a crappy 5 if we super-slab it.)

Can't wait to see you guys.

It still amazes me as to how much one can fit in A Givi case

Leaving the house at 12:15. See you all soon.

Home safe as well. Thanks everyone for the hospitality; wish I could have stayed longer. Thanks too to Eric for letting me use the compressor for added peace of mind. The tire held pressure just fine all the way home, but I stopped at the auto store in town to buy a pump just in case. Now off to get the wheel fixed properly

Made it home @ 3:40

Home safe.  Great ride with Danny.  As usual, the short section of I-95 sucked.  Great to see everyone!

Little bit of everything from sunny and warm to snow....

We pulled into the yard at 9pm. Yes it takes us 12 hrs-ish to get home. We made lots of stops, my fault.
GREAT riding! At least for me. And the FJ didn't puke her fork seals on the way home, IN SPITE of South Carolina's highways trying their best!

The ride home was some of the best riding and weather of the whole rally..  I don't know why we don't go north on 221 more, it rocks.

Had a great time though - in spite of catching a cold on the first day up there.  :ireful:   Those big fires never felt better.  Boone in mid-May is like a box of chocolates.
