I'm not the fastest FJ rider, I am 'half-fast', the fastest slow guy....

Is that Randy's shop?!

FJmonkey

No, that is a machine shop, way too big for Randy's shop.
The glass is not half full, it was engineered with a 2X safety factor.

Hummmm.. Not actually being in your shop and only hearing about it I made assumptions, I don't it stuffed with FJ's and mini racing cars, it looks like a typical machine shop with assorted machines and lots of floor space. Is it your shop Randy? Or one that you employ for you magic?

Mark Mark Mark...Never assume anything, you know what that translates out to don't you.

Well, if you look closely you can see some white 34 coupe bodies in the background up on the rack and the grey legend car chassis below it.

To answer the question, no that is not my shop. The is the facility at 600 racing, the manufacture of the Legends cars we race. I have been there several times with the first trip in 1996 and it still looked about the same when I was there in 2011. That is the rack they use to prep engines still in the crate before putting them into cars. You can see the motor mount on the front of the engine and the coils are mounted just above the valve cover.

This IS some good FJ porn!  Thanks for the explaination Randy.  I saw the brackets on the front of those engines and thought, "Wow, they went all out to secure those for shipping!"  Legend Car engine mounts make way more sense!

There are two types of people in the world...Those who put people into categories...and those who don't.
