Jackets4Bikes - bad customer service

Jackets4Bikes is a company that sells motorcycle gear out of Waukesha, WI. They have a large eBay presence and their prices are pretty decent, but their customer service just sucks.

I bought a pair of pants on eBay. They were listed as size 38. I received a pair that was clearly a size 36. The inside tag said 36, the outside tag said 36. They also did not fit.

When I reported this, I was told that I am wrong, I need to stretch the pants and measure them, and would find that they are actually 38. (I'm not kidding. That's what they told me) Given that these are heavy leather pants with no elastic in the waist, obviously a completely impossible proposition. Incidentally, they did measure 36.

I specifically asked if I was going to get the correct size in exchange. They replied that would be the case. I sent the pants back, at my expense. A week later I inquired when I might expect the correct product. Without any reply or explanation, two hours later I got a refund for the original purchase.

From my perspective, I spent $8.50 only to be aggravated by ridiculous implications and lack of communication.

If you used a credit card, dispute the shipping charges.....  I would.
