Burn Klotz BeNol to really keep them at bay. :)  I recognize the the DG heads, looks like some monster carbs... Did the PO say what pipes those are?  Also do they roll the odometer back - How'd they get one with zero miles, NOS?  And pictures aren't doing justice anymore, now I want video...

wow, that brings back memories, what a beautiful bike...I enjoyed riding my friends 79' Daytona back in the day. Last year I sent him a link to one on ebay that had never been uncrated. Well the ebay ad had a pic of a RD400 crate but I thought it strange they didn't show any pics of what was inside...I don't recall what it sold for...but congrats Frank!

George, let's see if we can get Frank to post some Picts of his 240z.....YESSSS!!!!...I love 240Z pics! they help inspire me to get back to work on mine

Featured in a Japanese market "Vintage Auto" magazine and has won lots of shows...  but not just all show and no go!  Rebello built 3 liter L6 with side draft TWM injection and Electromotive TEC2 fuel injection... that's 215Hp at the wheels, 2400#, fully track prep but with a nice interior.  I've had several z cars and am a member of ZONC (Z owners of Nor Cal).  Rides and drives like a new car and I do use it enough to keep the battery charged.  Covered in bugs just now as it should be.

Kids now days don't know the old zs and ask me what kind of Ferrari that is...

 Wow that is an awesome 240. My kid brother has a beautiful 72 as well!!!!

Frank, that's one of the most beautiful 240s I've ever seen! I love how you removed the side marker lights, me too, I always thought they looked like pimples on a beautiful face, and hiding the joint where the headlight bucket and air dam meet the car is exactly what I want to do, perfect.

I don't think I've ever seen front strut braces angled back to the firewall, great idea. Thanks for posting the pics, if you ever sell that thing post it on here. Did you make it to the 40th Z anniversary in Nashville?

No, but I did the drive from SJ to Sacramento as part of the 370 introduction...  I've been pretty active in the z club for many years and have done a bunch of events and shows.

Subtleties on this car make it.  The rain rails are gone too, French'd properly.  The seams are filled and gapped to be nice and even throughout.  The car was taken to metal, undercoated, and assembled again as new.  The Hugger Orange (Chevy paint code) is like a really bright version of the red 240z...  this one was red with white interior when stock.

I've gotten just to the point of considering selling this car a few times.  A drive cures it every time.   :gamer:

Frank, I don't see the the hand throttle lever between the seats,. Did US model not have that feature?

that had to be an honor to be part of the 370Z intro, congrats...for the 40th Anniversary I got back in town just in time to visit the track day at Nashville Speedway. It was great to see the Bob Sharp / Paul Newman cars and a lot of awesome Z's. There was even a FJ powered Legend car there just like the one Randy races, he sure sounded different on the track but he could actually run lap times with the Z cars.

I've never seen a car with the rain rails removed but that's interesting. I've always loved and thought the basic shape of this car needs nothing extra hanging on it at all, I've always wanted to make mine as clean as possible and yours is the perfect finished example. I've owned my 73' since 79' and unfortunately it needs lots of work. If you see a good deal on a decent bodied / rust free one I'd appreciate it if you'd send me a note. Thanks for sharing the pics Frank

Beautiful Z Frank!

I have the earlier "Fairlady"...a 1967 1/2 Datsun 2000 Roadster.  It has both the choke and throttle hand controls in the dash.  Works great to get the engine warmed up as I mess with the choke settings.  Must be great having a classic car with modern fuel injection!
