Sorting out the bike slowly

Went to adjust the chain and found it to be stretched and basically stuffed. Fitted a DID chain and new rear sprocket and have ordered new 16T front sprocket which I am pretty sure I read somewhere should drop highway cruising revs by about 500rpm, soon find out. Now I have a manual I found how to adjust the headlight up and down and I have found the adjusting link is missing and is now obsolete. The weather has warmed up and we have had an unseasonal 30 degrees C so great riding after winter. Cheers

I assume that was a typo and you meant to say 18T, if not don't believe everything you read on this site and you are going to be unhappy with the results.

It will make the bike more fun to ride though  :drinks:

When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Thanks guys, after a shaft drive and not dealing with chains and I haven't sat and thought about it. Now it all makes sense so guess I will be ordering a new sprocket, glad I didn't fit it. Seeing that 99% of my riding is highway I need top end and lower revs.

You think a 16t would fun, try a 15 , great around town , just don't bother heading to the highway
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Still faster than every Harley ever built. Unless you pushed them out of an airplane.

The only thing slower than a H-D parade is that Cushman rally we run into around Deal's Gap every ECFR.   :boredom:
