How tall is a stock 84-85 windshield

I have a smoked windshield( maybe Lockhart) and I am wondering if it is stock heighth or tall, so I can plan for a taller one in the future

Well, I would like a taller windshield for one. I'm 5'11" and I get entirely too much buffeting at anything over 60 mph. I'm gonna go with the eagle screens windlip from Oz I think, if only for the fact that it comes predrilled. I just measured my stock screen on my 84 and it is 17 1/8" from bottom to the top of the trim along the centerline. Hope that helps.

well now I know, I need a taller one again, had one on my last 85 1000000000 years ago, so I will have to get another one, I have found them online , even in other colors, the one on this 85 is dark smoke, looks nice, but it will need to be taller for me

I'm 6'5", had a stocker on my last 85 years ago, the taller one I upgraded to was a big improvement on buffeting at speed, directs the air over my helmet as opposed to directly at it, even 1" taller make quite a difference

Did that too, not bad for around town, and on the 85 you almost don't see that its missing since its all black under there, might skip it in the summertime in hell anyway, but once I'm outta here I will go back to the taller windscreen.
Been about 17 years since I had my last 85 but did a fair amount with it trying this and that.
once you get away from a FJ the memories of what a great bike it is drag you back.. :
