So, since I'm working on getting fairing mount mirrors, I got a pair of bar weights. I just picked up a set that was the right size, they were marked as being for a YZF600.

I swapped my bar-end mirrors for them. Holy crap. THERE IS ALMOST NO VIBRATION!

Cool, no more numb fingers :good2:  , when I tried mine without oem weights I also tried alloy bar ends, baaad move,  , now using stainless steel bar ends, slightly heavier than the original
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Haha. Surprise, they're there for a reason.

The next step: a pair of 'vibranators', tuned end weights that resonate to the engine's frequency, cancelling out vibes. Randy sells them, had them made.

Not everyone understands what a completely rational process this maintenance of a motorcycle is. They think it's some kind of a knack or some kind of affinity for machines in operation. They are right, but the knack is almost purely a process of reason.

Oh, I know they are there for a reason. The previous owner didn't.

Riders,

I got a set of Vibranators for my FJ1100, early on.  Riding long and hard used to leave my hands buzzing, but this problem vanished the first time I rode with them installed.  I needed a pipe wrench to remove the old bar ends, but the new parts fit very well.  They look fine.  I have only good things to say, for the Vibranators.  I also added  set of foam hand-grips, which also made things more comfortable.  I used a thin coat of Shoe-Goo around the handlebar grip area to install the foam hand-grips, and once that stuff dries, the grips will not slip or rotate on the bar.

Cheers,

P.S. Life is too short, and health is too valuable, to ride on cheap parade-duty tires.
