Can someone tell why when my horn is hooked up normally it sounds like shit but when I unhook it and supply power directly from the battery it almost deafens me. Electrical in not something I'm good at.

Thanks

Most likely its not getting full 12v wired in,  or a bad earth,, if you connect a relay inline the horn will work perfectly
unless you ride bikes, I mean really ride bikes, then you just won't get it

Ok I've heard of putting in a relay but where? again not electrically inclined. Please talk slowly. Lol Could it be the switch?

Relay uses the original horn wires to switch it on, and a new power and earth to it, , I'm sure they're are pics in the files section of how to wire it in, ,

Thank you! Yes I bought a 30 amp relay and followed a diagram on line. Attached horn wires to relay then ground wire from horn to battery. Then 10 amp inline fuse from pos battery terminal to relay then to horn. Now I'm wakin up the neibours!!

Thanks
