120/70/17 or 120/70/17. Found a couple 120/65/17s too. Had 60s on it
And it was fine. Just wanted to know your thoughts as I am getting a new one

I'd get the 120/70/17.

120/70-17 is what most of us run, if you have the 3.5" wide front rim, you can run the smaller diameter 120/65 but not on the oem 3.0" rim. With the shorter sidewall you need the wider rim.
Your speedo will run higher with the 120/65 and turn in will be quicker.

Hope this helps.  Pat

I don't know if it is right or wrong but I have 120 60 17 on a 3.5. rim.  The PO had the 120 60 on the old 3 inch rim. And it
seemed to be OK, but I am more of a cruzer type rider. I get dizzy just seeing the yellow line and the edge of the road.  :unknown:
Maybe the speedo running higher will off set the rear 180 55 17... ? Or at my age the illusion of going faster will be welcome

Sweet, I figured just go back to stock. I'm no racer either, plus I like to know how fast I'm really going

Check with the tire manufacturer they have recommendations for correct size for your rim size. Avon had me use the 110/70-17. Hope this helps.
