Noticed this special on the Orient site. These rods are light......I have them in my engine. They need some simple clearancing.

Hey man, I'm using the H section which also required a small bit of the crank case to be shaved to clear the big end bolts. Do you know the differences in spec between the A's and the H's? Cheers Tom

Here's the weight differences (I saved in the Files section) courtesy of Randy at RPM.
I looked at the A beams when RPM did my 1350 engine but at that time, the lead time was 4 months (and $$), so I went with the XJ rods.
For your turbo application, the H beams are the strongest....the best you can buy.

Anyone know at what power level the XJR rods should be replaced for reliability?

I had to wait for mine. At least I have a dealer account with APE. Orient must have these in stock. I'd say they are good for 300Hp at least. H beams I have personally seen on 650Hp busa's.
