   G'day groovers Neil here again after a year or 2 of MIA.!!!
well lets see,i know NOW that the fj will go 25 thou without an oil change. ( very not recommended ... but hey i did it so you don't have to.... thats my story and im sticking to it!!)  found out that going John Cleese style and taking a running kick at the FJ cos it won't start at 6 AM after a 12 hour shift only hurts your foot and breaks the panniers  ( yeah.... lost it big time.... dead flat dud celled rooted battery and a lazy owner... 75 bucks for a new battery and hey.... .... funnny tho... you know that little piece of plastic that goes over the choke nob? that little plate that says  res / choke? 65 bucks.... go figure ....) but heres the killer... and o boy....

was riding... all good... turned on headlights as it was getting dark. engine died. wouldnt fire.... most odd... pushed it home.... started next morning.... 20 mins later no lights on ( daytime you see) and it died again... pushed at least 8 k's home.

   tried to bump start it on a monday morning to get to work and whilst pushing decided that it probably needed a rest so in mid jump ( throwing leg over seat) i decided that it should fall over and break the LH mirror FAIRING all scratched up and it went back under the tarp and i walked to work for the rest of the week 16k's a day ( and im a smoker.... sheesh!) the stator rec/reg blew. 1600 bucks for a brand newy, possibly 500 to get it rewound.

OK so she was a little upset over 25k between drinks
but I think the kick my have pushed her over the edge
Not surprised her engine died when you started playing with her headlight
As for a bump start on a Monday morning......that old trick hardly ever works 
Maybe try a few goodies from RPM. That might do it

Gday harvey!! yes ... as i said to the general (typed) can't WAIT!!!!!! going to be good to thunder through town with a tribe of FJ's will beg borrow ( but not steal... stealings bad m'kay??) to get there.... anything short of pushing it!!!! sent the rec/reg and stator of to geelong i believe to get fixed  and awaiting its arrival. ( going through withdrawls at the moment let me tell you!!!!) since we last spoke I have been out to Bourke..( nice ride that) and made a general nuisance of  round Maitland and Lambs valley, the Golden highway and Dungog, and the usual Putty,Windsor and Wisemans ferry run ...( kinda hate to say it but they are still not much on a Nebo/Glorious/Samson/Mt Mee/Fernvale type run!!)   and i am ABSOLUTLY SURE that i own one of four Jap bikes in town.... its harley/hondaharley/suzukiharley and trumpy town here.....but that just makes me more "unique" i reckon!!
  Again cant wait to see you all and 'ave an old or 3!!
