I liked the 650 Seca turbo.  I owned a 750 Seca for quite a few years and it was a pretty good bike.  I liked the Kawasaki 750 turbo as well, but I doubt I'd ever own a turbocharged anything again (had a 1987 t-bird turbo coupe for a long time as well).

Everything evolves from what came before it to say something pretty obvious.  So, the Secas (don't forget the 900....or whatever the displacement was) most likely played a part in the R&D of the FJ bikes.

Its definitely a xj 650t I had one of these and loved it The right hand silencer was only used to quiet the exhaust from the waste gate of the turbo On mine this silencer had been removed and the waste gate was screwed down so that it wouldn't open The result was that the turbo boost was nearly always of the scale and the thing went like a rocket. I used to have trouble keeping the front end down if I was in a hurry
The electrics were an absolute nightmare I bought it cheap as a non runner from a mate( a vehicle electrician) who couldn't get it to run more than a few seconds  I,d  used it a couple of times and liked it but thought Id either fix it or break it for spares anyway when Dave was showing me the problem (after cash had changed hands)I asked him why the fuel pump wasn't running, he went red and swore a lot so we ran a direct feed from the battery to the pump and the thing was fixed  I offered to cancel the deal but Dave said no that a deal was a deal and the bike was mine Rode it for a couple of years and never could find out why the pump wouldn't work from the ignition, if it was left any more than a couple of days none of the electrical stuff in the instruments would work for an hour or so then gradually they would turn themselves on,
If I could find a half decent one in the UK I might be tempted.
